Celebrate America's 250th Birthday with these family-friendly events across Greater Houston.

There's something extra special about this Fourth of July.

This year marks America's 250th birthday, and communities all across Greater Houston are pulling out all the stops with live music, fireworks, family activities, and hometown celebrations.

Whether you're spending the holiday close to home in Mont Belvieu or planning a night downtown, here's your guide to some of the best Fourth of July celebrations happening around the Houston area.

Mont Belvieu July 4th Celebration

If you're looking for an event that feels like small-town Texas at its best, Mont Belvieu delivers every year.

Beginning at 3:00 PM at City Park, families can enjoy:

  • Moonwalks

  • Face painting

  • Food vendors

  • Washer pitching tournament

  • Live music featuring Pat Green

  • Fireworks after sunset

If you live in Mont Belvieu, Baytown, or Chambers County, this is one of my favorite local traditions.

🎆 Freedom Over Texas

Houston's signature Independence Day celebration returns to Eleanor Tinsley and Sam Houston Parks along Buffalo Bayou.

Highlights include:

  • Live entertainment headlined by Keith Urban

  • Food from local vendors

  • Family activities

  • One of Houston's largest fireworks displays

Admission is just $15, and children 12 and under are free.

🎼 Houston Symphony: Star-Spangled Salute

For a more relaxed evening, bring a blanket and picnic to Miller Outdoor Theatre.

Enjoy patriotic music performed by the Houston Symphony before ending the night with fireworks under the stars.

Best part?

Admission is completely free.

🎈 Kidpendence Week at Children's Museum Houston

If you have younger kids, don't overlook Kidpendence Week at Children's Museum Houston.

Throughout the week leading up to July 4, families can enjoy:

  • Interactive science demonstrations

  • Storytime with Lady Liberty

  • Confetti dance parties

  • Patriotic activities designed for little ones

It's a fun way to celebrate before the evening fireworks begin.

A Quick Reminder Before Hurricane Season Peaks

While you're celebrating, don't forget we're also well into hurricane season.

Now is a great time to:

  • Review your homeowner's insurance coverage.

  • Confirm whether you have flood insurance.

  • Ask your insurance agent about windstorm coverage if you live in Chambers County or other coastal areas.

  • Make sure your home's rebuilding cost reflects today's construction prices.

A quick policy review today can save a lot of stress later this summer.

Wishing You a Safe and Happy Fourth of July

Whether you're watching fireworks from downtown Houston, enjoying live music in Mont Belvieu, or grilling with family in your own backyard, I hope your holiday is filled with great memories and plenty of reasons to celebrate.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your real estate journey and your community.

Happy Fourth of July, and here's to celebrating 250 years of home, freedom, and the places we love most.
